A judge and a politician visit the Sycamore Tree Project

The final session of the Sycamore Tree program is open to public figures who can visit the prison to join the participants and hear about the experience first hand. Participants make speeches and members of the prison management and staff join in the event.

At one graduation, two of the inmates sang a song to the guests. Another time, one of the inmates painted a picture and had it framed as a gift for the victims.

In April 2013, a Brisbane ABC Radio journalist Terri Begley was given special permission to document the event including talks from the inmates and victims as well as interviews with a local judge and a politician.
